Right now, there is no sure-fire treatment plan of attack for COVID-19, likewise no cure and no vaccine immediately on the horizon. That said, one thing we do know is that COVID-19 attacks the immune system. Therefore, simply insuring that our bodies get enough of an array of these needed nutrients can go a long way to armoring our systems against the onslaught of infection. Some of the amazing things that nutrients can do to armor us against infection, include cell-building, wound-healing and fighting off inflammation. Some of the specific and wonderful nutrients that do these special tasks include, protein, as well as vitamins A, E, C and D. To arm yourself with these good-guy defenders against infection, just remember to go heavy with the fruits and veggies and high quality proteins.
